The 5 real Truths About Living And Working Permanently in The United Kingdom.

by Dr. Alabi | 6, july 2020

If you are interested in moving to the UK and getting all the benefits of a permanent resident, this article is for you.

I can’t count how many mail requests I have gotten since June of last year to make a post about relocating to UK.

In fact this week alone, 33 out of the 78 emails I received are questions about relocating to the UK as fast as possible

At first, I didn't want to write on it because as a Medical doctor I am always busy and I felt there are many websites out there with tons of information on this subject

But I guess you guys want something real that is coming from a trusted and experienced person.

And since I am yet to travel to the UK myself, I had to make a little research to find someone trustworthy who has successfully relocated to the UK to write on it.

I finally found someone trustworthy, a fellow Nigerian man who processed his entire immigration and that of his family to UK all by himself.

And even got good job opportunities within 2 weeks of arriving in the UK.

Not just that, he has also helped about 47 Nigerians to move to the UK as well.

His name is MR. DANIEL DAMILOLA (a Nigerian based in the UK)

This article was written based on his experience relocating to the UK with his family.

Honestly, with the present condition of the country at the moment, I really don't blame any Nigerian who is looking for a better life for themselves and their family.

 This is it. So Enjoy!

(1) Open a Separate Bank Account for This Project:

I like taking the things I want to achieve as projects and relocating to a new country isn’t a small project.

One of the things I did when I made up my mind to relocate was to open a separate bank account with no ATM card.

I didn't have any rich uncle to help me.

So, I cut down on a lot of things and I started putting funds into the account for the project.

If you are like me, do this too.

 It will help

(2) Acquire extra skills like plumbing, fixing electrical issues, how to change car oil and how to generally fix things around the house.

Even though these services are cheap in Nigeria, you will be paying a lot of money to get them in the UK.

By learning how to do them, you will be saving a lot of money.

Or even use it to get some change.

(3) Using Immigration Lawyers and Travel Agents Are Not Necessary:

When I made a decision to relocate, I came across several immigration experts charging as much as $15,000 to help you through the process.

I didn't use them mainly because I didn't have the money.

So, I had to do it myself and it worked

Later on, I found out that many people who paid those experts ended up wasting their money.

With a little guidance, you too can apply yourself and save a lot

If you are within the age range of 22-45 and you are interested, then NOW is the time to make a move

 That is because...

(3) UK's Immigration Policies Change From Time to Time

What this means is this...

As more people apply and try to get into the UK, the policies get tighter

The minimum requirements that got people into UK 2 years ago won't get you in today

That means the best time for you to start processing your relocation is today.

If you wait till 6 months’ time when the travel ban due to the lockdown might be lifted, well, the policies could have tightened up by then making it more difficult for you

Another reason why many people won't get in is...

(3) Relocating to the United Kingdom (UK) is a Big Investment Especially if You are Coming With Your Family

This is the simple truth

Relocating to UK isn't for everyone especially if you are struggling to put food on the table.

Don't believe anyone who says otherwise

Relocating to UK will cost you a lot of money especially if you are still applying using the old immigration programs peddled by Travel agents that have never gotten a UK visa in their lives. .

I can't give you a specific amount but with the Old immigration programs you would spend money to get

=> The permanent resident application fee alone cost $550/adult and $150/child

=> The IELTS (English test) alone cost N75,000 per person (Which your spouse will also do if you are married)

=> If you are moving with your family, well you know you will be paying for their plane tickets.

=> You will also provide a Proof of Funds showing that you have enough money in your bank account to sustain you and your family.

But the good thing is this, the UK authorities have initiated a new immigration program which smart Nigerians have been using successfully.

With this new immigration program that was initiated by the UK authorities you don’t need to pay for some of these things I listed above.

Heck, you’re not even going to write any exam so don’t worry about passing IELTS.

But I must tell you the truth, even though this new immigration program won’t need that you spend too much money I advise that you don’t try applying if money is a problem for you here in Nigeria.

With that said, if you think getting the funds to relocate to UK isn't a big issue for you, then you’re almost ready.

So If you are truly interested in relocating to Uk then I think you might have some questions on your mind which you want answers for.
